The Maldives Institute of Local Governance (MILG), in collaboration with K.Atoll Council, successfully conducted a special training program titled “Refresher Training on Decentralization Act” on 18th November. Held at the Local Government Authority's Kiyeveni Maalan, the program provided an enriching opportunity for council members to deepen their understanding of the Decentralization Act and related frameworks.

The training brought together 31 participants, including members from the Atoll Council and 9 local councils from the atoll. The participants were benefited from expert-led sessions facilitated by officials from the Maldives Institute of Local Governance.

The sessions covered a wide range of essential topics, including the Decentralization Act, the Procedural Rules of Councils, and the responsibilities and work of the Councils Bureau.
