Local Government Authority Presents 2023 Employee Performance Awards

Local Government Authority (LGA) held its annual Employee Performance
Awards ceremony on 16th May 2025 at the Maagiri Hotel, honouring
outstanding staff members for their exemplary performance in 2023.
The chief guest for the event was the President of the Local Government
Authority, Minister of Cities, Local Government and Public Works, Hon. Adam
Shareef Umar. Awards were jointly presented by Minister Adam Shareef Umar and
the Chief Executive Officer of the Authority, Mr. Mohamed Nimal.
A total of eight awards were conferred under four categories: Employee of
the Year, Gold Performers, Silver Performers, and Perfect Attendance. Special
gifts were also presented to the recipients of the 2023 Employee Performance
Awards, with sponsorship provided by Ooredoo Maldives, Naid Living, and Gym X.

LGA Employee Performance Awards, introduced in 2016, aim to motivate
staff, enhance retention, promote high-quality and efficient service delivery,
and encourage professionalism in the workplace.
